Lidl Waddinxveen en Oosterhout (Gld)

For Lidl, we supplied the steel structures for two large distribution centers in Waddinxveen and Oosterhout (Gld). From these locations, dozens of supermarkets are supplied every day. The buildings combine logistical efficiency with maximum sustainability. Both distribution centers are certified BREEAM Outstanding, the highest rating for sustainable construction.

In total, we delivered approximately 1,500 tons of steel, fully powder-coated in RAL 9010. The light color creates a calm, bright appearance and aligns with the horizontal façade design of the distribution centers. The steel structure is installed on precast concrete columns. This steel–concrete concept allows for large, flexible halls with long spans and efficiently positioned columns.

Together with Bouwbedrijf Van de Ven and other construction partners, we ensured highly efficient construction logistics. Many components were delivered as prefabricated elements and assembled just-in-time. This allowed us to achieve the high construction speed required for XXL distribution centers, while maintaining safety on site and the quality of the steel structure.
