ABN AMRO Office Building Rotterdam

On the Coolsingel in Rotterdam, Brink Steel Group completed the steel structure for the redevelopment of more than 30,000 m² of high-quality office space, including the new headquarters of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. Throughout the construction process, our teams delivered and erected the steel structure in the busy city center, where logistics and planning had to be coordinated down to the smallest detail. The structure ultimately reached nearly 100 meters in height, requiring exceptional levels of safety, quality, and precision.

The project was carried out for De Vries en Verburg, designed by Paul de Ruiter Architects, and developed in collaboration with Provast and AXA. The dense urban environment required a smart building approach and meticulous preparation, as the available space was limited and all activities had to be carefully synchronized.

The redevelopment was driven by ambitious sustainability goals. Circular construction methods, innovative technologies, and strict ESG requirements played an important role in the design. The result is a future-proof office building that ranks among the most sustainable in Rotterdam. As Provast described it: “There is magic in the old, and magic in the new. The trick is to successfully combine the two.”

With this project, Brink Steel Group contributed to an iconic and sustainable renewal of the Coolsingel and to a technically demanding high-rise project in the heart of the city.
