History

1980
Founder Henk van den Brink starts a company in crane and aerial work platform rental in 1980 together with his brother. In addition, steel structures are produced.

1998
Both business sectors are being split. Henk will continue independently in a new BV: Van den Brink Staalbouw BV. Business is going well and there is ample investment in housing, machinery, and equipment.

2000
Relocation of office and production space of over 5,000 square meters to Harselaarseweg in Barneveld.

2014
The new company building at De Landweer on Harselaar West-West in Barneveld is being put into use: a state-of-the-art steel factory, fully automated, suitable for large-scale steel projects.

2015
With the arrival of Robert Kwintenberg, a new generation enters the company. With a fresh look at steel developments, an optimal customer focus, and a huge drive for innovation, he leads the Brinkies.

2016
Winner National Steel Award in the Sustainability category. With the project Business Building Fokker 7 at Schiphol-East, we, together with the involved construction partners, have won this prestigious award.

2018
Purchase of plot 13,500 m2 at industrial estate 't Lochter III in Nijverdal. New construction of Brink Staalbouw in Nijverdal. Transfer of all shares of Van den Brink Staalgroep BV by Kwintenberg Holding BV.

2019
In 2019, the production halls in Barneveld were expanded by over 4,000 square meters. The total company area has thus been increased to over 20,000 square meters.

2020
Purchase of 23,500 m2 of land at 't Lochter III in Nijverdal for the expansion of our production halls. In total, we now have approximately 37,000 m2 of production space and storage area in Nijverdal.
Our concept Circulairstaal® will continue independently as a sister company under the name Circulairstaal BV.

2022
In the Dutch steel construction chain, we have joined forces to further sustainabilize steel in construction. The vision and ambitions have been captured in the Construction Agreement Steel. Winner of the National Steel Prize 2022.

2023
Acquisition of current property in Barneveld from former landlord. Celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Brinkies.

2024
Supplementing the existing management with Aniek Averesch and Henny Jongman.
Brink Staalbouw is being organized structurally to adapt to changing market conditions.

2025
We launched our own Staalcampus®! At Brink Steel Group and Circulairstaal®, we believe in the power of young talents. That's why we are super proud of our Staalcampus®. Here we train young Brinkies to become true craftsmen and craftswomen in steel construction. This makes us the youngest steel constructor in the Netherlands!
